Species and area protection
Activities that can have an impact on nature areas that are protected through, for example, a nature reserve or Natura 2000 propebly require a permit pursuant to the Swedish Environmental Code. To obtain a permit to carry out an activity that could have an impact on, for example, a nature reserve or a Natura 2000 area requires that such activity does not hinder the preservation of the species that is to be protected, or that such activity does not damage the environmental life within the area that is to be protected. Should an activity have an impact on plant or animal species covered by the Swedish Species Protection Ordinance, an exemption is required.
